Blue Jays sign Romeo
The Toronto Blue Jays have signed pitcher Ricky Romero to a five-year, $30 million contract extension.
Romero pitched pretty well last year and has become the team’s top starting pitcher this season.
The organization is planning on building their entire pitching staff around him in the coming years.
The left-hander said that it was a long process but that he’s very happy the deal finally got signed.
The team was in Anaheim at the time of the signing, allowing Romero to celebrate with his family.
